Houghton Regis, UK based British Converting Solutions Ltd (BCS) manufacturers of Autobox Quick Set Box Makers, was presented with the Queen’s Award For Enterprise – International Trade at a ceremony held at their new factory and attended by Members of Staff, their families, Customers and Suppliers.
HM Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordfshire, Mrs Helen Nellis bestowed the award on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen “This is the highest award given to businesses in the UK. It is an award that is made only to outstanding companies, to acknowledge your excellence and achievement in selling goods and services overseas. To win this award is a tremendous achievement and shows the very highest recognition of your company”
The award is in recognition of BCS’s growth in Export sales. In the past 3 years, export sales have increased by 350% with the USA, Germany and Japan amongst markets for the company.
A tour of the BCS factory followed where BCS box making machines are designed and manufactured. Guests enjoyed seeing the manufacturing process including the very latest CNC machine tools in operation. A further ceremony saw BCS Apprentices Luke Taylor, Natasha Birnie and Connor Murray cut the ribbon to officially open BCS House, a new and larger manufacturing premises that BCS moved into earlier this year. The increased manufacturing capacity will enable BCS to maintain competitive delivery times as demand for its range of Box Makers continues to grow.
